Dr. Downing is a board-certified family physician with professional interests that include women’s health, with an emphasis on helping navigate the transition through menopause, preventive medicine, cardiovascular health, and integrative medicine.

Board-certified, Integrative and Alternative Medicine

Dr. Downing completed fellowship training in integrative and alternative medicine through Dr. Andrew Weil’s program at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, and has additional education in botanical medicine, nutrition, energy medicine, mind/body therapies, and lifestyle modification.

Born and raised in Ohio, Dr. Downing and her husband have three grown children and a rescued Greyhound named Zen. Her well-rounded education empowers diverse, personalized approaches to disease management and prevention. She enjoys yoga, hiking, flying kites, as well as following professional hockey, and advocates getting outdoors every day, taking a morning walk and getting 7-8 hours of sleep every night without fail.
