Mike Siemens

MS, RCEP, Director of Performance Science

Mike works one-on-one with our guests, creating customized exercise programs for a wide variety of fitness levels and movement goals. He also hires, trains, and mentors our team of Exercise Physiologists, and develops programming for the department.

Credentials & Certifications

MS in Exercise Physiology, University of Arizona

Certified Exercise Physiologist, American College of sports Medicine

Certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association

Certified Provider of the Burdenko Method, Burdenko Institute

After nearly three decades with our Fitness & Movement team at Canyon Ranch, Mike continues to be energized by teaching people how exercise can improve the quality of their lives. He specializes in strength and aerobic conditioning, metabolic testing data, and custom exercise program design.

Mike shares, “At Canyon Ranch, we’re really good at meeting people where they are on their wellness journey – whether it’s your first day of exercising, you’ve been exercising for many years and you’d like to fine tune your program, or you’re a competitive athlete and you want to improve your performance.”

In his spare time, you might find Mike doing a CrossFit workout or training his Olympic lifts. Exercising helps him recharge, reduce stress, and focus on the present moment: “I find my mind escapes to the simple beauty of focusing on my hand placement, the timing of muscle contractions, my execution of the exercise, and nothing else.”
