When it came time to choose the next CFO at Canyon Ranch, financial expert and certified public accountant Jason Phinney quickly won the team’s favor as the ideal candidate.
Before joining the company, he spent 17 years working at Crescent Real Estate Holdings, a fully integrated real estate company and the majority investor in Canyon Ranch – making him uniquely qualified for the position given his familiarity with the brand and expertise. Most recently, he served as senior vice president, controller of Crescent Real Estate Equities, LLC., also holding other positions of vice president and CFO of Crescent Machinery Company; controller of Crescent Operating, Inc.; and audit manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Using his expertise and success in luxury markets, Jason sets and maintains a solid foundation for Canyon Ranch as it expands its mission to reach new markets and energize signature offerings. Since taking the position of CFO, Jason has helped reinvigorate the destinations, including overseeing profitable investments in new room construction and renovations in 2019; the financing, construction and sale of 19 condominiums at the Lenox location in 2017; and the refinancing of the Tucson and Lenox resorts in 2014.
Jason is a sincere believer in the Canyon Ranch wellness philosophy, including maintaining life balance. He enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and living a healthy, happy lifestyle.
